SUMMARY

This research reveals that although concerns around privacy and protection online have increased along with and a better understanding of the best security practices, individuals and organizations still need solutions that will offer added security as well as convenience.

This study aims at shedding some light over the behaviors around password management and authentication practices for individuals at work and at home. The study is based on a survey of 1,761 IT professionals in the US, UK, Germany, and France.

According to the report's findings, 66% of respondents agree with the importance of protecting passwords used at work while 63% think it is also important to protect passwords on personal devices. Nevertheless, more than half of respondents acknowledge that password management is a difficult task. In that respect, more than 50% of respondents admitted preferring passwordless logins to protect their identity.

The paper also found that over half of surveyors indicated to have suffered a phishing attack on their personal devices. Just less than half said they suffered this type of attack on a work device.

According to the document, there is a need for new security approaches to help people with passwords management at work and on their personal devices.
