According to this research, 10% of respondents consider themselves highly advanced in CX and a similar percentage think of themselves as digital-first. Digital-first companies are much more likely than competitors to achieve their business goals, the study says.

The study also reveals that one of the main emerging topics has to do with the importance of data. Large firms that were part of the survey stressed that data-driven marketing that focuses on the individual is considered as one of their most exciting opportunities for their companies. Big companies consider customer journey management among their key priorities, the report shows.

Companies are trying to have bigger control over their data while their eyes are focused on compliance and they show concerns about walled gardens. At the same time, AI is gaining in importance though there are still important hurdles that prevent organizations from seeing and deploying its full potential.
