Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) Benchmark Study

SUMMARY

According to this study, 59% of those companies that were highly collaborative among networking and security saw a financial impact of their most impactful breach of below $100K.

Having a deep knowledge of the risks of cyberattacks and the compliance scenario around security breaches, the paper notes, is key to understanding the best ways to defend and get ready for the security attacks. The report revealed that just 80% of respondents were very knowledgeable about risk and compliance.

Users were mentioned as the weakest part in security. However, just 51% considered they were doing an adequate job of managing human resources regarding security

The report also indicates that reducing the vendor footprint and having a more integrated architecture helps firms significantly.

As for the types of attacks that resulted in some level of loss of data, malware ranked in first place followed by a data breach.
