This study shows that crss-border e-commerce and mobile shopping has significantly increased in the past two years.
The report presents the most important findings of the 2018 IPC Cross-Border E-Commerce Shopper Survey. The study has researched more than 33,500 consumers in 41 different countries
The document indicated that of the parcels purchased cross-border in 2018, a good share - 38%- were bought from China. Regarding online retailers for cross-border purchases, online shoppers preferred Amazon (23%), Alibaba (16%), eBay (14%) and Wish (10%).
In reference to the Asia Pacific region, the study notes that Asian online buyers are younger and more demanding than their counterparts in other parts of the world. In addition, the report explains that global online consumers' expectations in terms of delivery speed have also increased. In that respect, 32% of online shoppers surveyed pointed out that a faster delivery service is key and should improve cross-border delivery.
