SUMMARY

This report on E-Commerce explains that online consumers' loyalty is shifting towards service and delivery over the brand and for that reason online retailers need to include real shoppers' standards as part of their online shopping strategy.

More than 3,500 international consumers' views were analyzed for this study. Respondents buy online at least once a month, the research says.

The report indicates that price and free delivery as the top criteria for buyers when shopping online. It also compares attitudes of online buyers in the US and UK and notes that more than 50% of E-Commerce spend in the US is made through online shopping platform Amazon, compared with 35% in the UK.

Regarding the sectors, the research establishes that a good share of respondents are happy to acquire entertainment goods online but that percentage goes down to less than 70% in the case of luxury products.

As for the younger generations, the study explains that millennials tend to use digital channels for online shopping and will continue to do so in the future. At the same time, they are more likely to buy in a shop that is digitally innovative.
