SUMMARY

This report on global ad spend forecasts indicates that global growth is expected at 3.8% in 2019 showing a positive economic environment in relative terms, though the pace of ad spend growth is decreasing.

In 32 of the 59 market studies for this research, growth is expected to experience a decrease in 2019 though global growth is expected to increase to over 4% in 2020.

The UK’s ad spending forecast is expected to see an increase from 4.7% to 6.1% in 2019, while in the US digital could surpass TV’s percentage of ad spend for the first time. 

According to this study, mobile is still the fastest growing platform and is expected to increase by nearly 20%. Mobile is also expected to be 75% of digital ad spend in 2019 in China. 

Regarding TV, it is expected to be one-third of the total ad spend, which is the lowest percentage since at least 2000, the paper notes.
