The TV will still be the largest segment, though digital will overtake filmed entertainment in 2019 and print by 2021, according to this study. Television increased at the industry average supported by a strong performance by regional brands, numerous sporting events, and impact properties.

Online gaming also saw an increase across real money gaming (including e-Sports) and casual gaming. On the other hand, advertising budgets are still moving towards digital media where the segment increased by 34%.

Digital subscriptions also experienced a rise of more than 250% as users in Indian show that they are ready to pay for online content. Animation and VFX were still on the rise thanks to the country's India’s talent pool and increasing participation in the international film and digital content market that is producing content at a relentless pace.

The research reports about the rise of live events, the same as the radio and print segments. On the other side, OOH took advantage from the operationalization of metros and airports, and from sectors such as retail, consumer services and real estate, which are still making heavy investments in this segment.
