SUMMARY

The study reveals that that online fashion retailers should put their attention on improving personalization to boost upsell and cross-sell instead of optimizing the purchase of products that is already in online consumers' shopping baskets.

The research firns that revenue per visit for fashion E-Commerce has significantly increased on both desktop and mobile. In that respect, mobile revenue in the last quarter of 2018 exceeded destock revenue at 46% versus 44%. In the first three months of the year, the mobile revenue share was of 37% while desktop was of 50%.

Meanwhile, revenue share and mobile traffic share are still increasing significantly, but the average time per online shopping session did not experience any changes in both mobile and desktop.

This research also indicated that online buyers are increasing their mobile shopping sessions, however, the time spent online shopping goes down because mobile sessions are shorter. It is key that online retailers make the most of the amount E-Commerce shoppers spent on their mobile sessions through smart personalization of product selection and context experiences.
